Jonny Jacobs ICAS

Jonny is an award winning Finance professional who feels passionately about the role of Mental Fitness, in the workplace. As a kid growing up in Glasgow facing life's tough realities, Jonny's powerful lived Mental Health experience helps to break the stigma of Mental Health in the workplace and beyond.

 

As a Finance Director, he believes that businesses have a role to play. This has seen him become an advocate for mental wellbeing across many forums including the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Goalkeepers, the global summit for young leaders One Young World, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland and many leading mental health summits.

 

Jonny leveraged his position as Young Chartered Accountant of the Year 2017 to champion Mental Health amongst the Finance profession and across the business world. In 2018, Jonny became an Advisory Board Member for MadWorld, in 2019 Jonny was appointed as a Trustee of the Mental Health Foundation, the UK’s leading charity for everyone’s mental health, and in 2021 a Non Exec of Mental Health at Work CIC.

 

Prior to his current position, Jonny was Head of Finance at M&S Foods, and before that led Strategy and Transformation for pladis, the global snacking company, which brings together iconic brands including McVitie's and Godiva. As the Executive Board sponsor for Mental Health, he led the Employee Mental Health & Well being initiative, which led to the the national "Let's Talk" partnership between McVitie's and mental health charity, Mind.
